30th International Convention Closing
|There have been multiple counts of the weather threatening to stop us from service, but not once have we given in. We claim the sweet victory God always grants us. This year, we celebrate a grand worship in recognition of our 30th International Church Convention. The ceremony commenced through the entry of colors. Brothers carried the flags of the countries where we have established a local church or extension, the last one representing the official church flag.
Bishop Jonathan Ferriol did the honor of leading as the master of the ceremony and wasted no time introducing Sis. Joy Ferriol-Guerrero as the Praise and Worship leader.
Ptr. June Alano then led the congregation through the Opening Prayer. The crowd stood in awe as Brother Chris Booth, a brother from Australia, sang a stupefying song unto God.
Then, a magnificent song of praise was raised by the brethren from the United Arab Emirates (Gilead Area). Through the years of performance, they have never once failed to stun the crowd with their stunning voices, music, and costumes. They are truly ready to deliver their whole to glorify Jesus.
Presbyter Leticia Ferriol came forward to give her warmest welcome to all the delegates from all over the globe, even in different languages.
After the Welcome Remarks, the choir all the way from Europe District sang at the top of their lungs, declaring God’s power and glory through their song. Their song of praise accompanied by a flag dance added bright colors to their performance.
Just before Bishop Osie Quillao gave his Offertory message, singers from the locale churches within the bounds of Laguna joined their voices producing a well-harmonized acapella piece.
The Zion Area surprised the brethren when all the lights suddenly shut down, but delight overcame to them as the Zion Area presented a delightful show with attractive lights dancing through Masayang Maglingkod and Hallelujah. These two songs are an original composition from the Praise and Worship album series. They sang Life at the end of their performance and enlivened the whole congregation.
The congregation was not limited to the brethren as we had guests like Bishop Thaddeus Binsonan, Congressman Bayani Fernando, and Congresswoman Irene Ferriol-Saulog. They are long-time partners and friends of the church and the apostle.
The MBS Choir followed with a song of praise before Bishop Arturo Ferriol stepped forward to introduce the keynote speaker: Apostle Arsenio Tan Ferriol.
The apostle showed many great works of our Father through the growth of the church. “The preaching of the true gospel today is coupled by the revelation of the mystery,” the apostle emphasized. He also said that if God is with us, we should not be frightened of death because He is the resurrection and life.
The grace that God has reached out to us is sufficient. And in the years to come, we are sure to see more of it.
